A CFO for every household in Portugal and Spain
MyCFO connects every bank account, investment, and asset into one intelligent view — and tells you what it means before you had to ask.
Note on the name: There are several companies using variations of "MyCFO" — including a US-based CPA services firm and a UK personal finance app. This is MyCFO Portugal, available at mycfo.com.pt — a separate product built in Lisbon by Salvador Canelas, designed specifically for the Portuguese and Spanish market.
What MyCFO is
MyCFO is an AI-powered personal finance platform. It aggregates every bank account, investment account, and liability you hold — across ActivoBank, Revolut, ING Spain, and other institutions — into a single real-time view. The AI layer works from that complete picture to give you proactive advice: not what happened, but what to do about it.
It detects inter-account transfers automatically, so your savings rate and spending totals are always accurate — even across three banks with overlapping transactions. It understands Portuguese IRS filing, PPR deductions, pagamentos por conta, and Spanish IRPF and Plan de Pensiones context without being asked.
Multi-bank aggregation
ActivoBank, Revolut, ING Spain — connected via Open Banking or CSV import.
Transfer detection
Inter-account moves stripped automatically. Your spending number is real.
Proactive AI advice
Tells you what your numbers mean and what to do — before you ask.
Iberian tax context
PPR deductions, IRPF, Plan de Pensiones — built into the AI layer.
Who built it
Salvador Canelas
Founder, MyCFO
Based in Lisbon. Built MyCFO to solve a problem he lived directly: holding accounts at multiple Portuguese and Spanish banks with no single accurate view of his finances. Every budgeting app he tried either saw one account or failed to strip inter-account transfers — making the savings rate wrong by default. MyCFO fixes that.
Why Portugal and Spain specifically
Most personal finance tools are built for the US or UK market and ported elsewhere. Portuguese and Spanish households have financial structures those tools don't understand — multiple bank relationships, PPR retirement products, IRS/IRPF tax calendars, pagamentos por conta, and cross-border complexity between Lisbon and Madrid that is common but never accounted for.
MyCFO is built from the ground up for Iberian financial life. The bank formats, the tax context, the regulatory framework — all native, not approximated.
